Minoriten - City Museum (Archaeology)
Museums · Vels
A former Minorite monastery founded around 1280, now the city's main archaeological museum. The exhibition runs from the Neolithic through Roman times, when Wels as Ovilava was a major trading centre of the province of Noricum, to the early Middle Ages; the Gothic church choir with its ribbed vault survives.
