Wels Castle (Burg Wels)

A former Habsburg castle first mentioned in 776, rebuilt in late Gothic style under Emperor Maximilian I, who died here in 1519. It now houses the City Museum with the history of Wels and the rare Kaiser-Panorama, a stereoscopic viewer more than 120 years old.
