Wignacourt Tower
Museums · St. Paul's Bay
A bastioned stone watchtower whose foundation stone was laid in 1610 - the first of six towers built by Grand Master Alof de Wignacourt, with an artillery battery added in 1715. Today the tower is a small museum of Maltese fortifications, right on the shore of the bay.
