St Paul's Islands

St Paul's Islands

Landmarks · St. Paul's Bay

Two uninhabited islets at the mouth of the bay, by tradition the place where the Apostle Paul was shipwrecked on his way to Rome around AD 60. A statue of St Paul has stood on the larger island since 1845. The islands are best seen from the Buġibba promenade, and in summer excursion boats sail to them.
