Simar Nature Reserve (Is-Simar)

A five-hectare artificial wetland in the Pwales valley near Xemxija, created in the 1990s by BirdLife Malta volunteers. It is part of a Ramsar site of international importance and a protected bird habitat, with hides for watching herons, kingfishers and migratory birds.
