The Musée d'Orsay occupies a former railway station from the early 20th century on the left bank of the Seine. It holds the world's largest collection of Impressionist and Post-Impressionist works, including canvases by Monet, Renoir, Van Gogh and Degas. The great station clock in the main hall is one of the museum's emblems.
