The Louvre is the largest and most visited art museum in the world, housed in a former royal palace in central Paris. Its collection numbers tens of thousands of works, among them the Mona Lisa, the Venus de Milo and the Winged Victory of Samothrace. The entrance is marked by the famous glass pyramid in the courtyard.
