The Goethe House is the birthplace of the writer Johann Wolfgang von Goethe and one of the most important literary memorial sites in Germany. It is furnished to evoke the life of a well-to-do 18th-century bourgeois family, and includes a museum devoted to Goethe. It stands in central Frankfurt on Großer Hirschgraben.
