Town Hall and Perlach Tower (Rathaus and Perlachturm)

The Town Hall was built in 1615-1624 by city architect Elias Holl and is one of the most important Renaissance buildings north of the Alps; inside is the lavish Golden Hall. Next to it rises the 70 m Perlach Tower, with a view over the whole city. The square also has the Augustus Fountain, part of Augsburg's water management system, inscribed on the UNESCO list in 2019.
